VELEZ are you kidding.... not trying to be disrespectful but my goodness , you may want to check out whats been going on in the off season. I think velez is o.k but not quite in the same league with marco or the other 106 that fauquier has. Way too early to make a good guess. Dont know to much at 113 , not sure how tuff this weight class is. 120 looks like it will be a competative class. I see a couple of 103's that has jumped to this weight class. Keep updating always great to look at.

Just a few things to add. Tim Nordan has moved to MD and will not be in Virginia this year, so you can take him off your list.
Raines will be a force to be reckoned with if he ends up 113. He and Nordan have faced each other twice at 120, both going right down to the wire, with each taking a victory. It will be interesting to see if Raines goes 113 or 120.

Sorry, but the Goss kid does not belong on this list, even with no other known quantities. He's quite green, and has a long, long, long way to go. He will not make it out of districts. At the Skyline 32 qualifier, I saw him absolutely hammered by a kid who was giving up at least 8 to 10 pounds to him (I believe his name was Tyler Askey). Goss' parents tend to yell and scream and make a spectacle of themselves about kids cutting weight and how unfair it is during matches, but they were pretty quiet during that one. Just because you know a kids name doesn't mean you rank him third in our region! Otherwise, an excellent list.

Eastern View and Culpeper HS are still in Region 1. At least that is the region we are currently competing in and I have not heard of any changes. Got my attention enough to check the vhsl site - still listed in Region 1. Still appreciate your listing just the same. Even us Region 1 coaches like to keep a EYE on the Region 2 happenings !!

MHS: Way to hate on a kid and his parents anonymously. Maybe you are right, I totally shouldn't have listed him ahead of all those other wrestlers I listed at 106. Please list the wrestlers in his district that will beat him so I can put them here too. At least list the MHS wrestler... This is just a worksheet and it's only October. Those are the only 3 names I could find in the limited amount of time I allow myself to waste on this. This list is best when everyone pitches in. Thanks for your help.

Hey MHS guest...in reference to the Goss kid, He will definitely make it out of districts. There are only 5 schools. Since they take 4 this year from this district he only needs to be ahead of 1 school. And even if its 3 who will he lose to? Handley? James Wood? You all? I don't think so. The region may be a different story. But look for Goss to make some noise as a freshman. I don't know his parents so I can't comment on that. But maybe they are pationate about the sport and want to see their son do well. Your post was real bad form MHS guest. I think you may be scared.

Kyle Montague will not be at 120 this year i think he will make 106 but at the most 113. Eshelman graduated so you can take hime of the list. I would have Kyle Montague over justin zimmerman at 113 since he beat him in the region semis 5-4 double overtime. But overall good rankings

I believe Orange would have a top 5 finish. We only lost 1 senior from last year.

Noah Goss at 106 will do well. I watched him wrestle at the Colonial Forge dauls and was impressed with this young man. As for the parents of this young man all I can say is there should be more parents like them that are involved in the sport we all love. Good luck to the Goss family.

Justin Zimmerman will be wrestling 120 this year. Just for the record Guestimator Zimmerman and Montague will be wrestling at the beginning of the season. We'll let you know how it goes. Good job Guestimator , thanks for what you do.

152 Pablo Garcia graduated....great kid...shame he got mono. Wrestled with it at districts before he knew he had it. Wasn't allowed to compete at regionals. Started wrestling in 9th grade. Heart and soul wrestler.

Justin Zimmerman shouldn't be at the top of the region. Rios pinned zimmerman in the first period at the super 32 qualifier. Raines had a close match with Rios at the battle of gettysburg tournament.

Lets split hairs!............Also at the Super 32 qualifier Stone beat Raines and Zimmerman beat Stone. What that means is its WRESTLING........anyone can beat anyone at any given moment. What we do know is all of those kids wrestled hard that day and should be commended for that.
