It looks like all of our old Jefferson District buddies are coming back! According to the scrimmage play website, Orange, William Monroe and Goochland will be back in the JD for the 2013-14 season.
The Evergreen District will gain Eastern View, Culpeper and Manassas Park. Region 2 was already a tough region and now its going tougher.
Here is run down of the school's numbers.
Charlottesville (1163)
Fluvanna County (1085)
Goochland (719)
Louisa County (1308)
William Monroe (808)
Monticello (1020)
Orange County (1430)
Powhatan (1367)
Western Albemarle (982)

And Jefferson District will be in Region 3. John Battle will be added to the Dulles which will pull some schools there back down to AA. If Jefferson moves to Region 3 it makes since to split Dulles. But not much Dulles does makes since regarding sports though.
A lot of that type of thing is rumor until R&R meets next week, IMHO.

Where did you see the Jefferson going to RIII? The grid on the VHSL site still has them listed in RII.

Sorry - numbers for Orange are incorrect - we are at 1600 students - Orange got call yesterday late that they (VHSL) are relooking at the numbers and will let us know today if we are AA or AAA in 2014 - I think we will be staying AAA

The VHSL needs to change the way they do things. Changing divisions for less than 5% of the maximum is crazy!!! When your that close you bounce back in forth to much. Look at Goochland. A to AA to A to AA. What the Hell!!!

I think that it was an evil plot to get rid of Orange until all those really tough wrestlers graduate. Those JD schools are Geniuses Ha Ha.

I wish we had Orange, Freedom, and Manassas Park this year. That'd be a lot of fun
