As always, feel free to post any comments, but I'm looking for grades, weight changes, head-to-head matchups, and tournament place. You can also contact me privately at guest.imator@yahoo.com. Thanks to those who are e-mailing me, keep it coming. Generally, I'm putting kids in weights they are currently wrestling. Team rankings are for the region tournament. They are not dual rankings, state rankings, or anything like that. I do not have many results for Powhatan or the Jefferson in general... r2rank.blogspot.com/

Myciah Fitzwater, 152 at Western Albemarle over Cusick (LOU) and Hernandez (MT) last night. Fitzwater is a junior and I believe Cusick is a sophomore and Hernandez a junior but not certain. Also at 152 in the JD, the guy wrestling from Powhatan that I've seen is Steven Stone. I don't know about Kalsin Parker.

The Dulles district ruined it by not splitting. 10 teams in one district is way too many. So now they feel slighted because they have more schools. Rather than realize they are watered down. Their wrestling is terrible. If they are lucky they will send 8 total kids to states. Granted...1 should be a state champ. James Wood and Milbrook will send that many alone. GEEZ!!

Who's the state champ coming out of DD? I agree the district is weak this year. A lot of good wrestlers graduated last year and the loss of Freedom and Broad Run really hurt.

Guest 3 really!!!!! Watered Down.....You know that neither the wrestlers, nor the coaches have anything to do with this. and who is they...... ....."Thier wrestling is terrible".... ..... Well, when you have brand new programs and training 1st year guys, it will take a while. So you are telling me that all of your NW teams will beat all of the DD teams/Kids. Putting down teams or wrestlers will get you no where. grow-up I believe he is talking about Batchka....152 from Potomac Falls

Yeah, I think some people would have a different line of thinking if they have tried to teach freshmen how to get in a stance and put a singlet on. Its a challenge but it pays off when they beat the guys from those other schools who have feeder programs and middle school wrestling. 8 guys from the DD going to states? Ill take the over on that one. Good luck to all and wrestle hard.

Sick of smack talk...is it really smack talk when it's being backed up year after year? My point isn't to degrade dd coaches and wrestlers. It's simply mathematics. When you split schools and take a handful of wrestlers that go one way and some the other...the teams get watered down. Thus making the district weaker. No fault of the coaches or wrestler's. It is what it is. Split the district and let everyone take 4. You all taking 5 and 6 in every weight class is just flat out wrong. Do you really think down deep in your heart that your 5's and 6's will make to the the state tournament?

None of our 4's will either, though they could maybe win saome matches.
Look I'm trying to avoid my opinions in talent because everyone is up and down. I personally hated wrestling Potomac Falls, Louisa, etc when I was in high school. For now I will just assume they are in a down period. There is no point in coming in here smacking it up because all it does it degrade others, iot doesn't help solve the problem. But the original point is that it should be seeded differently, that I do agree. I personally have Millbrook, Fauquier, and Brentsville bringing 7+ and theyre all in the small districts. How is that fair to the other average teams such as Wood, Sherando, Skyline, WC, etc that are all top 10 teams, but will be leaving kids behind who could also score at regions. Thats the point Im trying to make
