Central Virginia Marine Corp Invitational
Fluvanna County High School will be hosting a two day 16-20 team individual wrestling tournament. The Central Virginia Marine Corp Invitational will be held in the newly completed Fluvanna County High School during the winter break on Friday December 28th and Saturday December 29th, 2012. We are excited about our new home and are looking forward to sharing our facility with wrestling teams in and outside of our region.
Craig Conner and Paul Chirico will be serving as Tournament Directors of the event.
Our goal is to have as many of our local schools as possible attend this event. Fluvanna County High School is approximately 15 miles east of Charlottesville, Virginia near the intersection of US 53 and US 15.
During the last six years we have forged tremendous relationships with opposing coaches and Athletic Directors who have helped us develop our team and a schedule that bodes well for our athletes. We now invite all of you to come and join the action and help grow wrestling in Central Virginia.
A special note: This tournament is an offshoot of the original Albemarle County Duals (2010) and The Western Albemarle Shoot Out (2011). In January of 2012 with the support of The United States Marine Corp the tournament was renamed The Central Virginia Marine Corp Challenge. For the coaches and teams that attended last years event this will replace that January event.
The tournament fee will be $300.00 per team
