Local Summer Wrestling Camp....
Ranger Intensive Practices (Camp) and is an intense, fast pace practices that will challenge wrestlers both mentally, emotionally, and physically, held Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm, at Loudoun County High School.
June 10th-14th & June 17th-21th (2 week) $200 Elite Ranger Practices, for rising 2nd through 12th graders. (Experienced wrestlers only)
June 10th-14th (1 week) $115 Elite Ranger Practice, for rising 8th through 12th graders. (Inexperienced or Experienced)
June 17th-21th (1 week) $115 Select Ranger Practices, for rising 2nd -7th graders. (Inexperienced or Experienced)
***These practices will be limited to only 40 wrestlers, first come-first serve.*****
Wrestlers will go through:
-US Army Ranger PT (Physical Training) Test: 2 mile timed run, 2 min of push-ups, 2 min of sit-ups, and pull-up test. This test will be conducted in the beginning and at the end of camp.
-Cardiovascular training: Tire flips, tire pulls, stadium runs, explosive sprints, sand bag runs
-Strength training: On & Off season weight lifting programs, plate training, sandbag training, kettle bell training, circuit training
-Wrestling techniques from: Hand-fighting, neutral position, short offense, bottom position, top position, circuit drilling
-Takedown Tournament.
What the wrestler needs to bring every day:
-Lunch
-Must have current AAU Membership/Card or USA Wrestling Membership/card
-1pair of running shoes
-1pair of wrestling shoes
-2 set of wrestling attire (1 being worn)
-Lunch
-Water bottle with name
-Sweat towel & headgear are optional
*Each wrestler will receive a Ranger wrestling shirt
Awards earned:
-Most outstanding Ranger
-Takedown champ
-Overall Ranger PT champ
