It is a good start, at the very least you have the Forge 'B' team, James Wood, and James River there. I hope next year you graduate to the Free Lance-Star Super 32; Culpeper, Louisa, and Fluvana were up to the challenge.

That must be Single A James River, the AAA school James River, it just wouldn't make much since for them to be in a pool with these guys (no offense to anyone). Orange maybe doesnt face the greatest (wouldnt know), but even so its because most of that was probably made more than a year ago.. which nobody would have predicted them being this good that far back

I disagree with the idea that James River is too good to be in a pool with "these guys."
I have a son that wrestles at a well-regarded AA school and a nephew that wrestles at a school that was at the Kettle Run duals.
I seen Orange wrestle (they demolished my nephew's school) and have little doubt that they would beat James River (if we are talking about the same James River that finished 14th at Hopewell).
My point originally is that Orange needs to wrestle some bigger boys (ex. Hanover, St. Christophers, Fauquier, etc.) before we talk about how good they are.

They must've graduated a ton then, but I don't know, AAA I'm not as good with. I don't know if Orange is ready for that list you just named, but it'd be better than what they're doing. I will say that as of right now I do have Orange as a solid 5th Regionally..

Orange compares well to Loudoun County, they may be a little stronger than LC, but their 189-HWT need work. Their head wrestling coach is their head football coach, so you would like to think he could recruit the football players a little better to fill the upper weights, but it ain't happening. Richard Glover, John (Unknown), and Danny Artusio do much of the technical training.

You're all right. Orange now has the wrestlers and the coaching to go to a new level of competition. They need to start wrestling more powerhouse schools... they're going to get that schedule next yr. in the AAA ranks. If their kids go to some intensive camps and technique camps and stay in the rm all summer they'll be ready. Coach Glover and Coach Artusio have done a great job getting them prepared... now they need some higher level matches to up their competitiveness. I wish them the best of luck...

That seems to be the case, however the 189 is "close" to being ranked in the region, currently listed as on the bubble. Also reading through prior posts, the 215 and hvy are both freshman. I guess you cannot have everything all the time. I think these guys all wrestling and learning how to win will serve them well in the future. They have 2 seniors on the squad and they are unbeaten thus far. Certainly we can look at their schedule but they have beaten everyone they have faced so far, so there is that I suppose.

With all do respect, OC's 189 lber. is not close to being ranked in the region. He is the kind of kid that will give you a fight, but is not a top 12 in the region kid. He is a .500 wrestler. Can he develop into a "ranked kid"? Maybe, but he is not there now.
This is a good example why you cannot just swallow every ranking list that someone posts.
Based on what I seen at Kettle Run, they are tough from 119-171.
103 (little black kid) is a tough matchup and a fighter for sure.
215 and HWT have a ways to go to be .500.
They had a couple kids wrestle exhibition, one on my nephew's team, and they looked good. All things considered they look like a good team, and if the comments made is other forums about them being a young team are true - they do have a bright future.

well, my next door neighbor's best friend's uncle knows a guy who says he saw the Orange team wrestle a bunch this year, and they're gonna win every tournament they enter this year. Christiansburg is gonna go DOWN this year, and they're gone kick Cox's butts next year! remember you heard it here first!

In regards to the 8th Annual Mountaineer Classic, that would be a case of been there, done that. They have beat many of those teams already.
In regards to the guy that KingOrange's next door neighbor's best friend's uncle knows, don't believe him. In fact, if you have the chance, punch him right in the forehead and insult his mother.

Who the hell is KingOrange? You're talking way ahead of yourself. We're not monster killers yet and we know that. The boys aren't swelled headed at all. We have 2 fresman, 8 sophmores, 2 juniors and 2 seniors in the starting line up. The two seniors started in high school, one junior the same. 2 sophmores since they were 5 or 6, one who wrestled in the NVWF. The rest in middle school. Tons of room for improvement. I never thought Orange would get this much attention off of there parents being proud of them!!

Don't worry 86OCWrestler, it means they are paying attention and may even be worried.
Why else would they waste their time bashing Orange?
Thank you Coach Glover, Coach Artusio, Coach K, and John for making us relevant.
Mandingo - nice mom crack. LOL.

Observations from Madison Duals.....
Madison County - has some tough wrestlers, it is a shame they can't fill all the weights. Freshman would have some great "mentors" to help develop them.
Godwin Mills - has some great looking light and middle weights. I am suprised their 112 and 119 are not ranked.
William Monroe - Tough team, looked good against Godwin Mills.
Colonial Forge 'B' - Big drop off from their 'A' team.
James River - tough, tough, and tough. That is one solid team.
Culpeper - a scrappy team with a tough 152 lber (Dwyer).
Anyone else?

LOL. They did have a flat screen with rotating images of their athletes.
Their gym was pretty nice.
And they did a good job as hosts.
