Interestingly over half these guys have trained with the Cavalier Wrestling Club at one point or another.

1 POSITION IN THE RANKINGS AT 140 SHOULD CHANGE BASED ON ALMOND BEATING VIA...

Via vs Almond @ 140. Via beet Almond in a district match. Almond beet Via at a round robin. Only district matches should count for seating.

Glad to see Dickerson in there. Good kid with a bright future in the sport. Harris and Goodbar split this year right? But Harris's win was a district match and Goodbar's wasn't. Fitzwater and Nissen split this year, too but Fitzwater's was a district match and Nissen's wasn't. Also, I'm pretty sure Fitzwater's out of the district tournament due to injury. Should be some tough matches this year and some of the kids could definitely be in the running for regional champ. I'm thinking the JD will represent well in the mid and upper-mid weights.

Sorry to hear about Mychiah. I was wondering why he wasn't at Elite practice.

Coach K should come to the realization that Ntenda is not even in the same league as Ryder

The only match I seen the two of them wrestle this year had Ryder in control the whole time. With that said, Ntenda is a good wrestler and will compete. Ryder is a stud for sure and has wrestled at 145 for a good portion of the season now.

It looks like Shiruna got the top seed which is a nice advantage since Ryder and Brown may meet in the semi's. Garrett is a strong, athletic young man that could surprise someone.

From what Coach Keel was saying on the region talk, the JD will be sending 5 guys to regionals in some classes. Does this mean that kids will wrestle 5th place matches?

Can someone explain how or why you would have more than 4 go per district from each weight class? I mean unless a district did not have 4 to send at a particular weight class, why would any other district send 5 or more?

Up until two or so years ago, Evergreen did not exist as a district. At that time, Northwestern was split in two, five schools staying, and five schools forming the new district. Even though I have only heard that Evergreen would not be sending four wrestlers, I have not heard that Northwestern District is in the same boat. I know that Evergreen could send four wrestlers per category but I guess that the equity issue came up for those districts that have nine and ten schools respectively. Hope this makes a little sense.

Makes more sense. So in a nutshell, instead of districts getting what essentially amounts to automatic bids (a five school district), it is balanced.

IF RYDER FROM ORANGE BEAT NTENDA HE SHOULD BE THE #1 SEED IN THE DISTRICT. IF THERE IS DISPARITY IN PRIOR DISTRICT MATCHES THE COACHES WORK THAT OUT IN THE SEEDING MEETING.
IF RYDER WRESTLES UP TO POTENTIAL THE ONLY PERSON WHO LOSES IS THE GUY THAT MEETS HIM IN THE SEMI'S... BECAUSE FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN NTENDA WON'T BEAT HIM ANYWAY.

Hey Guest,
Ryder and Ntenda are friends and train together some. They have a lot of respect for each other and I am sure Zach doesn't appreciate you talkin trash. All Zach had to do was make weight for their district match but that didn't happen.

Ntenda is a good wrestler, no need to diminish his abilities. It will be a good matchup between the two of them. If I am betting money on the match, I would take Ryder by points. Something in the lines of a 8-4 match.
Who knows, maybe Ntenda brings something different to the table on Saturday.

Hey Coach k, No trash talk intended... i know Ntenda works hard... i did not diminish his capabilities or talk negatively about him. I spoke to the issue of the seeding and the facts on what in my opinion is the more probable outcome of their match. Good luck to both of them in the district and region.
